Nerko is, in the shadow, probably one of the best beatmakers that Spanish hip hop has given. Member of El Gremio with Feo1 and Dj Code; striker of the sadly now disappeared label Supakanja, which gave us hope for a brief time; beat producer for many spanish rappers; participant of the Red Bull Music Academy back in 2006… and keep on going.

If you thought your homemade drums, hell breaks, african solos and other tricks turn you into a pro, you better go grab some chocolate, you are not gonna like this. Pau, a gallant man, has given us his heart making this album, kind of a cinematic portrait. And he is trusting our new project for the delivery.

Hey man, how is it going? I have a farfisa fast 2 that I found on a garage sale and I love it man.. specially using it with a wah wah and delay. I was listening to your recording using your farfisa fast 2 and you sound VERY GOOD man. So what I wanna ask you is: I heard in your track some sustained sounds, like a piano oriented instrument.. did you use any other keyboard on that recording os just the farfisa. If you just used the farfisa can you tell me how did you get those piano fading sounds?

hi mate! Sorry i couldn’t answer before! What’s the song you’re talking about? I often use more than a keyboard but depending on the track I can tell you the concrete keyboard for each sound. I used a Hohner Pianet T in some tracks, maybe that’s the sound you heard. Sometimes I just use Elektrik Piano by Native Instruments with my computer via Cubase.

This is the first Combo-Organ I got, a Welson Disco-Star made in Italy. It’s not as genuine as a Farfisa or a Vox, obviously, but it still sounds nice, it has some cool syncopated rythm patterns, and in my opinion: it’s beautiful!!

This is my younger brother Marc doing what he does best. He’s only 18yo and is one of the youngest flatlanders in Spain. He’s been training so hard the last years and here you are some results. I bet he’s got new tricks at the moment but this is a nice sample!!

And yet another video to show another band from my town: “FF” a.k.a. “Par de Efes” a.k.a. “Fast Forward”. When we started to write our firsts songs for El Gremio, these guys were already doing the real shit, about 15 years ago. We get old, yes… and this song talks about that somehow. Check this great video, a great work by Roger Comella (Filmsenviu) with special fx, a great characterization, and a surprising end. Bravo! por la música!
